On August 6, 2022, starting at 6 PM, twelve cultural institutions in Karlsruhe opened their doors for KAMUNA. The HfG Karlsruhe was once again part of the event.

Each year, KAMUNA revolves around a specific theme that serves as a guiding thread for the diverse programs offered by the participating institutions.

In the Lichthöfe of the HfG Karlsruhe, selected student works were showcased.

In the Large Studio, students, alumni, and friends of the HfG Karlsruhe presented their latest works. Beginning at 8 PM, the program took place every hour. Using a 12‑channel speaker system and large-scale projections, audiovisual pieces were transformed into an immersive experience. To create these works, students had explored various practices in digitality, multichannel audio, and sound in seminars led by Okkyung Lee, Paul Modler, and Lorenz Schwarz, developing concepts for performance, sound art, and algorithmic composition.
