A workshop that explored the material properties and engagement with analogue and digital circuits in the manifestation of electronic signals, not only for sound, but also for image. Through the process of demodulation and signal shifting and swapping, an entangled field of possibilities was presented for the creation of audio-visual work. Participants immersed themselves in cross-modal techniques and convergent media practice, where sound and image found a common language. Example circuits were presented, and participants were encouraged to develop these circuits into their own electronic systems for audio-visual work. Old and new technologies collided in new encounters. The results were presented in a performance-installation that emphasised the process of making and materials.
