Lena Zwerina completed her degree in media art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design with honors in March 2023 with her diploma thesis Ephemeral Antipodes. Her artistic work is predominantly displayed in the form of installations in between performance, multi-channel video and sound sculpture. Her work has been exhibited in Havana, Reykjavik, Tunis, Paris, Hong Kong and Karlsruhe. During her studies, Lena Zwerina received the Baden Württemberg Scholarship for a semester studying at the New School/Parsons in New York in 2015. In July 2023, she was awarded the Heinrich Hertz Gesellschaft Prize by the Fördergesellschaft ZKM / HfG e.V. for her diploma thesis Ephemeral Antipodes. Lena Zwerina was selected for the Résidence d'été à Openbach in Vincennes/Paris for July 2024. Her latest work, an interactive sound installation, was presented and performed in September 2024 at Galerie Openbach in Paris. Born in 1993, the artist lives and works in Nuremberg.
